Will Terminator: Genisys just be a series of homages to the first two Terminator films? Will it be a safe, down-the-middle effort a la Terminator: Rise of the Machines? Or will it be akin to the sloppy mess that was Terminator Salvation? Directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) the film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger back as an older Terminator, joined by Jason Clarke as John Connor, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung Hun Lee and Matt Smith as a new character said to have a strong connection to John Connor.
