Joe Wright gave us something of a fairy tale in the excellent Hanna and now he’s going all out with Pan, a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie and today you get a look at the movie’s first trailer.
The film follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny–to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.
Pan stars Levi Miller in the title role with Hugh Jackman playing Blackbeard, Garrett Hedlund as Hook, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lilly, Amanda Seyfried as Mary and several others make up the ensemble including Cara Delevingne, Paul Kaye, Nonso Anozie and Adeel Akhtar.
Warner Bros. has set a July 17, 2015 release date for the film, give the first trailer a watch below and check out the first poster and a few more pictures.
