Disney and Marvel have released a second, extended Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, this one featuring new footage from the upcoming superhero team-up due in theaters on May 1, 2015 and likely to be the talk of the town as I fully expect it to break the first film’s $207.4 million opening weekend record. Man, that’s a lot of coin!
Avengers 2 begins with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) trying to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program when things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.
As the villainous Ultron (James Spader) emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.
