Chris Rock is hosting “Saturday Night Live” tonight with musical guest Prince, which is to say it’s the making of a perfect episode as far as I’m concerned. Rock’s appearance is in an effort to help promote his new comedy Top Five, hitting theaters on December 5, and last night Brian Regan, who has a small role in the film, shared a clip featuring him and Rock.
Written, directed by, and starring Chris Rock, Top Five tells the story of New York City comedian-turned-film star Andre Allen (Rock), whose unexpected encounter with a journalist forces him to confront both the career that made him famous and the life he left behind. Along with Rock the film features a load of names including Rosario Dawson, J.B. Smoove, Gabrielle Union, Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Kevin Hart, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Romany Malco.
