Marvel Studios held a press event in Los Angeles this morning announcing few bits and bobs concerning their upcoming slate of films. First off was the reveal of the full title for Captain America 3, that being Captain America: Civil War set for a May 6, 2016 release. The film will focus on global superhuman registration.
Additionally, they announced a November 4, 2016 release for Doctor Strange to be directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch (though that was not confirmed at the event with Feige saying, “If it were confirmed we would have announced it today”) as the titular surgeon that suffers a life-changing car accident and eventually heads to the Himalayas, gains psychic powers and saves the day, protecting the Earth against magical and mystical threats.
They also announced a new release date for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which was originally slated for July 28, 2017, but will now arrive a little earlier on May 5, 2017. The July date, however, won’t go unoccupied as it will belong to Thor 3, titled Thor: Ragnarok.
The 2017 release dates don’t end there as they also officially announced Black Panther for November 3, 2017, of which Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige said has already been teased in the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer. This almost certainly is related to the appearance of Andy Serkis, whom many already presumed was playing Ulysses Klaw, but even more importantly it was announced Chadwick Boseman (Get On Up) will star as Black Panther.

Feige skipped the untitled movie currently slated for May 4, 2018, but did announce Captain Marvel for July 6, 2018 centering on Carol Danvers trapped between two realms: Earth and outer space. Feige said to expect writer and director announcements “quite soon”, though don’t expect casting for quite a while.
Another new franchise was announced for November 2, 2018 in the form of The Inhumans which were previously rumored. Here’s some details on these blokes, which will apparently be teased in upcoming Marvel films:
At the beginning of the Kree-Skrull War, millions of years ago in Earth time, the alien Kree established a station on the planet Uranus, a strategic position between the Kree and Skrull empires. Through their work at this station, they discovered that sentient life on nearby Earth had genetic potential invested in it by the alien Celestials. Intrigued, the Kree began to experiment on Earth’s then-primitive homo sapiens by splicing Eternals DNA into Cro-Magnons.
As for that May 4, 2018 release date, it’s part one of two films, those being Avengers 3 and 4 to be titled Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 in 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 on May 3, 2019.
