Universal has premiered the first Furious 7 (aka Fast & Furious 7) trailer, a film that suffered a major setback following the unfortunate death of lead actor Paul Walker, pushing the release date back a year as the filmmakers retooled the screenplay and called in Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker, as body doubles to complete scenes Walker had yet to shoot via the use of facial replacement. I can’t lie, it’s going to be a little weird seeing the final product with the knowledge of what took place, but I really hope that doesn’t put a damper on the enjoyment as I do tend to enjoy a little Fast and Furious action.
Fast & Furious 7 is set to hit theaters on April 3, 2015 from director James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring) and stars Walker along with Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Sung Kang, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Ronda Rousey and Lucas Black.
