As far as I can tell, the first time I wrote about a possible movie based on the television show “Baywatch” was in later that year when DreamWorks took over and ever since there have been rumblings, but nothing official on the books… until now.
THR reports Paramount is moving forward with a big screen adaptation and Dwayne Johnson is “loosely attached” to star with Justin Malen (Bad Teacher 2) writing the script for We’re the Millers helmers, Sean Anders and John Morris directing.
Set along the shores of Santa Monica, there currently is no word on a plot synopsis, but THR reports previous efforts to bring the story to the big screen involved action revolving “around a series of shark attacks that led the Baywatch team to investigate a drug-smuggling operation.”
