Steven Soderbergh isn’t directing Magic Mike XXL (aka Magic Mike 2), but he is serving as cinematographer and on this Labor Day weekend he’s just tweeted the first picture from the set. It’s only a clapperboard, but it is an interesting career move for Soderbergh who has served as cinematographer (as well as editor) on most of his films under the pseudonym Peter Andrews, but this is the first time he’s done it for a film he isn’t directing.
