The Weinstein Co. just sent over the above first look at Nicole Kidman in the upcoming live-action/CG-hybrid feature Paddington, the new movie based on the beloved fictional character from children’s literature created by Michael Bond in 1958, along with a new teaser poster for the film at the bottom of this post.
Paddington follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) with a passion for all things British who travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck — “Please look after this bear. Thank you.” — and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist (Kidman). Julie Walters, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Bonneville, Samuel Joslin and Madeleine Harris co-star.
The movie is set to hit theaters on December 25, check out the poster below and if you haven’t yet seen the trailer watch it here.
