Out of nowhere we have a new picture of Jennifer Lawrence in Susanne Bier‘s Serena along with news the film, in which Lawrence shares the screen with her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper, will be hitting UK theaters October 24.
Stylist has the news and the picture of Lawrence in the adaptation of Ron Rash‘s novel, which follows newlyweds George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence) who travel from Boston to the mountains of North Carolina where they begin to build a timber empire in 1929.
At this point it’s hard to look forward to the new film considering Bier has already released Love Is All You Need and has A Second Chance playing the Toronto Film Festival, both films were shot after Serena completed principal photography. When a film is shelved this long only to suddenly find a release date and is still without a U.S. distributor it’s never really a good sign.
Additional release dates include France (November 12), Australia (November 27) and Germany (December 18).
