Dear White People played the Sundance Film Festival where it was picked up by Roadside Attractions and will now hit theaters on October 17 and the first teaser trailer has just dropped and I don’t need to see anything else to know I want to see this movie.
Described as a sly, provocative satire of race relations in the age of Obama, the film was written and directed by Justin Simien and follows a group of African American students as they navigate campus life and racial politics at a predominantly white college.
The cast includes Tyler James Williams, Tessa Thompson, Teyonah Parris, Brandon P. Bell, Kyle Gallner, Malcolm Barrett, Brittany Curran, Marque Richardson and Dennis Haysbert.
