What I Watched, What You Watched #246

I wanted to start off by saying how much I love seeing the amount of conversation in this space each week. I went back and looked and the 161 comments on paid subscribers, but centering it on a specific topic or movie each week, though I am still toying with the best way to do it. For now, this seems to be doing quite well, keep up the chatter.

Now, to business, this week I watched Werner Herzog‘s Cobra Verde, which I’ll be reviewing soon enough, as well as X-Men: Days of Future Past (my review) and Filth (my review), but it didn’t end there.

HBO has been showing Fast & Furious 6 and Mission: Impossible on repeat as of late and I think I’ve seen both around two or three times in the last month or so. Just solid, entertaining films, M:I especially as I think Brian De Palma still has the best film in the M:I series. Agree? Disagree?

Otherwise, I plan on watching Gummo and Gatling Gun this coming week as well as Herzog’s Lessons in Darkness, the first Herzog film added to Fandor.com that doesn’t star/feature Klaus Kinski. On that note, I will be reviewing Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht this week as the next film in my 16-week project of reviewing one Herzog film each week.

Oh, and next Saturday I will be sitting down with one Richard Linklater to talk Boyhood and whatever else comes up.

Now, what did you watch?
