Warner Bros. has announced the official title for their Man of Steel sequel will be Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. It seems there was no getting away from the Batman vs. Superman (minus the “s” of course, because, naturally) title considering how long it has been used in the press and the “Dawn of Justice” bit is something of an allusion to Captain America: The First Avenger, essentially announcing the coming Justice League film and preparing audiences for what is around the corner.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v. Superman once again stars Henry Cavill as Superman, joined by Ben Affleck as Batman, Fast and Furious franchise star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Amy Adams returns as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.
There is no synopsis for the film as of yet, but it will hit theaters on May 6, 2016, currently the same date slated for Captain America 3.
