Chris Hemsworth Rumored for ‘Lethal Weapon’ Remake, Wolff for ‘The Stand’ and Neeson’s ‘Monster’

Stories from TrackingBoard.com often go disregarded since they are very frequently just agents trying to get their talent some attention. Nevertheless, a new report has Warner Bros. offering Chris Hemsworth the leading role in a Lethal Weapon reboot (currently known as Lionhunters), playing the Riggs character made famous by Mel Gibson. Sounds like they might be rebooting this and going even farther back as an older cop’s son (presumed to be Riggs) wants to join the force. Will Beall is presumably working on the script and Justin Lin is apparently attached to direct. Personally, I don’t see this happening… [Tracking Board]

[amz asin=”B005J5U07O” size=”small”]Liam Neeson is set to co-star in A Monster Calls for Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible). He joins Felicity Jones in the movie adapted from the Patrick Ness fantasy novel about a young boy who attempts to deal with his mother’s illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that deal with courage, loss and faith. Focus Features has already set a October 14, 2016 release date. [ScreenDaily]

Nat Wolff co-stars in the upcoming The Fault in Our Stars and reveals director Josh Boone is writing a role for him in his adaptation of Stephen King‘s “The Stand” at Warner Bros. No additional information was revealed and this is far from a done deal as many have tackled the adaptation and WB has yet to pull the trigger. [THR]

Finally, Screen Junkies have released an Honest Trailer for Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. I watched this a couple days ago and just started watching more and more of their videos. Good stuff.
