New ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Promo Art & Clip, Webb Not Back for ‘Spider-Man 4’

Sony will reveal a final trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (5/2) in three days and over the last couple days the studio has been releasing some promo art to hype the trailer’s release. One of these promos features Paul Giamatti‘s villain The Rhino and the other features Dane DeHaan‘s Green Goblin glider.

In other Spidey news, Spider-Man 2 director and soon-to-be The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (6/10/16) director, Marc Webb has told The Daily Beast he’ll be done with Spider-Man after the upcoming third film, handing things off for The Amazing Spider-Man 4 (5/4/18) as well as the spin-off features — The Sinister Six and Venom.

“I’d like to be involved as a consultant,” Webb said in reference to a fourth film, “and I’ve already talked to these guys about it, but in terms of directing it, that will close out my tenure. I’ve had so much fun doing it, but after the third movie, it’ll be the time to find something else.”

As far as expanding Spider-Man’s universe is concerned, he said, “We’re building out a more complicated Spider-Man universe with characters that people haven’t seen in other Spider-Man movies–The Sinister Six, Venom and more. We’d all love to overlap with other studios, but it’s beyond my pay grade.”

And, finally, just before the art, here’s another clip from the movie featuring Giamatti and Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). Enjoy.
