I’m not sure if I’m going to make an effort to go see Veronica Mars: The Movie when it screens (if it screens). I’ve never watched the show and am not quite sure it’s a film I need to see. It’s getting to the point it might be better for me to stay home whenever a movie like this screens, watch an old movie I love or one I’ve never seen and write about that instead.
Set to hit theaters and VOD on March 14, the film brings back Kristen Bell as Veronica. She’s transferred away from Hearst college after freshman year and went up to Stanford and finished her undergraduate degree, followed by a stint at Columbia Law School. She’s been back to Neptune from time to time to see her dad and Mac and Wallace, but she hasn’t worked a PI case in nine years. She’s between having graduated and taken the bar and she’s interviewing at various law firms in New York.
