‘Noah’, Tyrants, a Response Against Wickedness

A pair of new trailers for Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah have come online, one a longer international trailer, the other a short TV spot dubbed “Tyrants”. I watched the shorter of the two and liked what I saw. I felt it gave just enough for those of us hoping Paramount higher-ups hadn’t ruined Aronofsky’s vision. Ray Winstone‘s words at the beginning of the trailer, coupled with Noah’s “Your time is done” at the end, give a good idea of how the battle will be fought and “won”.

There are other elements to the film, more fantastical elements, that we’ve all heard of, but we haven’t seen much, if any, evidence of it in the trailers. At least nothing I’ve seen, though I don’t watch these things all that often. I skim for a picture to accompany the post and let you do the rest.

Give the two trailers a watch below, the shorter of the two is first. Noah hits theaters on March 28 and last I heard there wasn’t any plan for advanced screenings or even critical screenings. It’s perhaps too early to say with any certainty that Paramount will stick to that, but I’m just telling you what I heard.
