It was just announced Michael Douglas will star as Hank Pym in Edgar Wright‘s Ant-Man for Disney and Marvel Studios. The casting places him alongside Paul Rudd who will play a character named Scott Lang. Considering I am completely unfamiliar with the characters I can’t offer any insight, though some reports say a recent post on Wright’s blog features an image from the animated “Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” episode “To Steal an Ant-Man” in which Scott Lang steals Hank Pym’s Ant-Man suit and does bad guy stuff with it.
My only real interest here is the fact Wright is directing, but now with Douglas in the lead role I guess my interest has been elevated slightly. The film is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2015.
