First ‘Interstellar’ Trailer, Christopher Nolan’s New Movie

A film that will most likely top more most anticipated lists than any other for 2014 is Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar and today the first trailer has arrived after premiering in theaters over the weekend in front of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

The film features a massive ensemble cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, Casey Affleck, Ellen Burstyn, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, John Lithgow, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, David Gyasi and Matt Damon… just name a few.

The script is a combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan, which is said to have been based on scientific theories developed by a Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech. Like Inception, the story is said to be “complex and multi-layered” as it chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Interstellar serves as Nolan’s first film since completing his Batman trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises and it’s set to be released in theaters on November 7, 2014.
