I guess you could assume a little about what Terminator 5, or Terminator: Genesis as it will apparently be called, as Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) has reportedly landed the role of John Connor.
Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) and Brie Larson (Short Term 12) are on a short list competing for the role of Sarah Connor. Considering John is Sarah’s son and Jason Clarke is 44-years-old while both Emilia Clarke and Larson are both in their mid-20s it suggests just where exactly in time the franchise reboot may take place. Sounding as if a future John Connor may be sent back to save his mother.
The film is already slated for a July 1, 2015 release with Alan Taylor (Thor: THe Dark World) set to direct and Arnold Schwarzenegger expected to return as his iconic cyborg character.
Notable upcoming roles for Clarke include Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Child 44, both due in 2014.
