It’s getting close to the end of the year and it seems people have decided they can’t win so they won’t even try to compete. Oh well, I guess such is the nature of some people’s competitive spirit, but 85 people are still attempting to get some points in this inaugural year of the RopeofSilicon Box Office Challenge and this weekend we may have a close race for that #1 spot.
Both Laremy and the readers have Frozen finishing #1 with only $200,000 separating the predictions and speaking of close, Laremy and the reader aggregate both have The Hunger Games: Catching Fire finishing with $34.1 million. I’m not sure we’ve ever had that happen before.
Further down the line and with the week’s only new wide release, it’s also a close one as Laremy predicted Out of the Furnace would finish with $5 million while the readers come in only $100,000 lighter. On top of that, only $200,000 separate predictions on Homefront. What is with these mind games?
