Sony Pictures Classics announced last night they would be distributing Gareth Evans‘ The Raid 2: Berandal, the director’s follow-up to his 2012 film, The Raid: Redemption, I film I personally loathed though it seems I was largely alone in that feeling.
The sequel again stars Iko Uwais as Rama and all that’s known of the plot is that it picks up two hours after the first film ended. The first film, however, was confined to one building, but this second, according to Twitch, who brings us this first Indonesian trailer for the film, “broadens things out considerably, both in terms of locations and the scale and scope of the characters and action.”
