On top of the The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Warner Bros. has now released a new three-minute trailer for the film, a film that doesn’t seem to understand the concept of “less is more”, not in its marketing, not in its storytelling and certainly not in its running time.
Picking up on the heels of the events in The Hobbit: An Unnecessary Journey, we now find Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Gandalf (Ian McKellan) and a baker’s dozen of Dwarves on their long walk to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the gold digger of all gold diggers, Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch).
This being the second film in the trilogy I can only imagine nothing will really happen until December 2014 when the trilogy ends with The Hobbit: The Last One, We Promise, but things get Smaug-tacular this December 13.
