Is Tom Hiddleston’s Loki the Best Thing about the Marvel Universe?

While I traditionally stand alone in enjoying Thor, I think it’s important to note just how important Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki from that film has become to the Avengers franchise. Not only did he serve as the chief villain in The Avengers, now Thor (Chris Hemsworth) must call on him for help in Thor: The Dark World. On top of that, Hiddleston is fantastic in the role and he even managed to pull off that helmet with the giant horns sticking out of them.

Okay, I know a lot of you will say Robert Downey Jr. as the smug and sarcastic Tony Stark is the best thing, but he doesn’t come close to owning any individual scene as Hiddleston does in virtually every scene he’s in in The Avengers. His “mewling quim” alone takes the cake, not to mention his reaction to Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow tricking him. He even killed Coulson (Clark Gregg)… who was then miraculously revived so he could be in a television show.

One of these days you will all come around to my side, for now, here’s a new clip from Thor 2, which hits theaters on November 8.
