The end of the year has a ton of films that skipped the Fall film festival circuit and have still yet to be seen, chief among them is David O. Russell‘s American Hustle, which Sony has been slow-playing, but has now brought online five character posters previewing the stacked cast and their ’70s costumes.
Featured in these posters are Christian Bale as con man Irving Rosenfeld and his British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) who are forced to work with the FBI to infiltrate the world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia. They’ll be working with the wild card FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper) and will soon find themselves involved with political operator Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner) and his wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence).
The film is based on a true story, but being sold as a fictional film and will hit theaters on Decembe 13.
