When the first trailer for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (12/25) arrived a lot of people were finding similarities to the work of Spike Jonze, but all I could really see was Wes Anderson for a variety of reasons, but the most immediate came at the beginning of the trailer with the multitude of shots from above. Perhaps Ben Stiller latched onto the vibe after working with Anderson on The Royal Tenenbaums, but I’m certainly not complaining.
