John Krokidas‘ Kill Your Darlings starring Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg, Jack Huston as Jack Kerouac, Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr and Ben Foster as William Burroughs will be playing both the Toronto Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival’s independent Venice Days sidebar after premiering in Sundance earlier this year and now a first teaser for the film has arrived.
The feature follows the beat generation poets as they’re brought together following the 1944 murder of David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall), ultimately formulating the tenets of and giving birth to what became the Beat movement. Additional members of the cast include Elizabeth Olsen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kyra Sedgwick and David Cross.
Sony Pictures Classics picked up the film earlier this year and has already set a October 18 release date.
