Fox has started their promotion of their Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and they’ve done so by revealing an official site that tells the story leading up to the upcoming film, which includes a second site discussing what is referred to as The Simian Flu, which is accompanied by the video you see at the bottom of this post.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters worldwide on July 18, 2014 and centers on a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (played by Andy Serkis) is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
