Comic Con is just around the corner with the marketing festivities beginning Thursday, July 18 and Entertainment Weekly has premiered their annual Comic Con cover, this time featuring a look at The Amazing Spider-Man 2 villain Electro (Jamie Foxx) squaring off against Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).
In addition to the image, director Marc Webb essentially takes a dump on the original saying, “With the first one I felt it was important to retell that origin story. But that was kind of brutal because people were so familiar with it. Now that the origin story is done? We’re off to the races. It’s incredibly liberating.”
Yeah Marc, it was kind of brutal wasn’t it?
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014 and co-stars Emma Stone, Chris Cooper and Paul Giamatti.
