In theaters today is the new comedy This is the End starring James Franco, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride among others and today a This is the End spoof edition of “The Real World” has been released and it previews pretty much everything I disliked about the movie.
In my review I wrote, “I don’t know what it is about the ‘white trash’ schtick McBride is known for that people find funny, but someone swearing just to swear and talking about ‘jizzing’ all over the walls for five minutes isn’t funny to me.”
When it comes to swearing, over the course of the following video’s six minute running time I counted 32 instances of the word “fuck” being used to zero comedic effect and instead of McBride “jizzing” all over the apartment he pisses all over the apartment. COMEDY!!!
I actually quite liked the movie, but I just don’t get this brand of humor.
