And theater owners want shorter trailers… Good luck!
I never would have thought Summer 2013 would make it’s way all the way to July and I’d still be without a summer film that had really entertained me. Star Trek Into Darkness was a disappointment and films such as Frances Ha and Before Midnight, while great, are hardly summer blockbusters.
Thankfully, hope is on the horizon. This week we have Man of Steel and in less comes Roland Emmerich‘s White House Down, but can a dumb actioner really end up being the “best” action film of the summer?
Tonight a new four minute trailer for Emmerich’s latest, starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, has arrived with Tates playing Capitol Policeman John Cale whose just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service, protecting President James Sawyer (Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
Boom! Excited? No? Yes? Not sure? Watch this new trailer and let me know afterwards.
