Bradley Cooper is the Latest to Exit ‘Jane Got a Gun’

I hope someone has access to all the details and ins-and-outs of what the hell is going on with Jane Got a Gun. After star Michael Fassbender departed the production shortly before it was set to begin filming in New Mexico, director Lynne Ramsay followed suit on the first day of production. Gavin O’Connor quickly replaced Ramsay, then Jude Law left the production only to be replaced by Bradley Cooper, but less than a month later Cooper has bailed as well.

THR reports Cooper has exited the role in which he was to play the leader of a gang that comes to kill a man (Noah Emmerich) who returns home to his wife (Natalie Portman) riddled with bullet wounds and barely alive. She is ultimately forced to reach out to an ex-lover (Joel Edgerton) and ask if he will help defend her farm.

There is no word as to why Cooper left, though it could very easily have to do with his The Hangover Part III promotional tour or even his work on David O. Russell‘s American Hustle. However, no matter how you look at it, this is the definition of a nightmare production.
