The new issue of Entertainment Weekly features the above first picture of Eva Green as Artemesia, the villain in the upcoming 300 sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire.
Artemesia is the leader of the Persian army, second in command to the mortal-turned-god leader Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). The sequel runs parallel to the events in the first film, focusing on the Battle of Artemisium as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) and his common-man troops fight the rest of the Persian army at sea.
Previously a couple of first look images arrived and have since been added to the RopeofSilicon gallery right here, one image featuring a battle at sea and another giving you a close-up look at Stapleton as Themistokles.
Directed by Noam Murro, 300: Rise of an Empire will hit theaters on August 2.
