Today’s a big day for me, I’m seeing Before Midnight — my most anticipated film of 2013 — this afternoon and I couldn’t be anymore excited. Of course, excitement of this kind always runs the risk of leading to a letdown, but I can’t let the fear of disappointed quell my anticipation.
I recently re-watched Before Sunrise and Before Sunset in preparation for a feature I will be running in May and I will be adding Before Midnight to that very same, three-day feature should everything work as planned.
The film hits theaters on May 24 and sees the return of Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke as Celine and Jesse, nine years after their last rendezvous in Paris. Almost two decades have passed since their first encounter on a train bound for Vienna, and we now find them in their early forties in Greece. Before the clock strikes midnight, we will again become part of their story.
Today I have a new German poster for the film to share (via IMPAwards), which is featured directly below.
