I caught Robert Redford‘s latest directorial effort, The Company You Keep, in Toronto last year where I called it “an average thriller” that “passes the time despite being a little too long at just over two hours.”
Directed by and starring Redford, the film centers on Jim Grant (Redford), a civil rights lawyer and single father, must go on the run when a young reporter (Shia LaBeouf) exposes his true identity as a former 1970s radical fugitive wanted for murder. From there it turns into a nationwide manhunt with a few twists and turns and a huge bend on slamming new media. Susan Sarandon, Terrence Howard, Anna Kendrick, Stanley Tucci, Chris Cooper and Nick Nolte co-star.
Sony Classics is set to release the film on April 5 and you can watch the trailer below and read my full review right here.
