Two in the theater, two-and-a-half at home, that was my week with the movies so far. The two in the theater were Jack Reacher (read my review here) and Pablo Larrain‘s Foreign Language contender from Chile, No, which was quite good and has a strong chance at a nomination and considering the craziness that can happen in the Foreign Language category, who knows, maybe it could win even though it appears to be a race between Amour and The Intouchables.
At home I re-watched Moonrise Kingdom and Zero Dark Thirty as I’m putting the final touches on my Top Ten for 2012, which I will be releasing on Wednesday next week. Of the films on my top ten, there are currently four I have not watched a second time, two of them I probably won’t be able to see again before releasing my top ten and two I do plan on watching, just to make sure I have them ordered the way I like. Otherwise, expect to see that list on Wednesday with lists such as Worst of 2012 and Most Disappointing of 2012 to follow after that along with the RopeofSilicon Awards in January.
Then, last night I feel asleep watching It’s a Wonderful Life. I just couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer even though I tried. I still plan on finishing it however.
Other than that, today will be filled with football, especially tonight’s big game with the Seahawks vs. the 49ers. Go HAWKS!
I will have a few posts going throughout the next couple days, but considering this is the last What I Watched, What You Watched before Christmas I just want to wish all of you a happy holidays. It’s been a great year and now I open the floor to you… what did you watch this week?
SIDE NOTE: I’m not sure how many of you have “liked” the RopeofSilicon Page on Facebook, but if you haven’t done so yet, how about doing it now? Just a thought! Happy Holidays!
