Final ‘Killing Them Softly’ Poster Brings the Total to 14: Browse Them All Right Now

The Weinstein Co. has bombarded the Internet with posters for Andrew Dominik‘s gangster drama Killing Them Softly and while the more official, theatrical posters are a bit generic, the more artistic posters they’ve released across various corners of the Internet have been rather intriguing and playing up the metaphors in the film.

Today the studio released what they are calling the “final online poster” for the film, which I have included at the bottom of this post along with a gallery of all 14 posters released for the film so far.

For those that missed my review of the film from the Cannes Film Festival, I loved it and would like to offer a brief snippet:

Dolly zooms, a fevered heroin high, shotgun blasts and the unflinching eye of the camera as one man is beaten nearly to death and left to soak on the street in the rain — jaw, ribs and teeth broken. Killing Them Softly uses violence and art to paint a metaphor. Sometimes you have to bust a few heads to get things moving again, even if the heads on the chopping block aren’t necessarily the heads that most deserve chopping. But when it comes to that aspect of the story, even the caliber of weapon and the deafening sounds of the shots fired imply more than just a “cool” factor.

Killing Them Softly was also the source of this month’s Movie Wallpaper, which if you haven’t downloaded it yet you can do so right here.

Adapted from George V. Higgins novel and set in New Orleans, Killing Them Softly follows professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game. The film also features Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins, with James Gandolfini, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella, Sam Shepard and Bella Heathcote among others.

Check out the gallery of posters and the final poster directly below and look for it once it hits theaters on November 30.
