As I mentioned in Hitchcock tomorrow afternoon, but tonight the film premieres at the AFI Fest and to celebrate Fox Searchlight has brought online a brief 17-second clip from the film featuring Anthony Hopkina in character as Alfred Hitchcock directing Janet Leigh (Scarlett Johansson) in the Psycho shower scene.
However, the clip is cut dramatically short and edited down to really show you nothing much at all, but I have to say, once that figure slides into place it does evoke memories of the infamous scene and it looks like the dress they have James D’Arcy (I’m assuming it’s D’Arcy) wearing as he plays Anthony Perkins is actually grey and gives off something of a black-and-white in color appearance. Of course, that could just be my color blindness kicking in as on a really close look it does look a bluish grey.
