11 New Pictures from ‘Django Unchained’ Featuring Nero, Johnson, Goggins and More

Thanks to the Quentin Tarantino Archives I’m able to bring you a batch of 11 new pictures from Django Unchained with new looks at several members of the cast including Franco Nero who played the original Django in the 1966 Sergio Corbucci feature as well at Kerry Washington as Broomhilda von Shaft, Don Johnson as Spencer Gordon Bennet, Walton Goggins as Billy Crash and Samuel L. Jackson as Stephen, house slave to Leonardo DiCaprio‘s villainous Calvin Candie.

It was also revealed, earlier today (via THR), that an eight-minute extended trailer for the film will play at the Lucca Movie event in Italy with talk still swirling that the film may premiere at the Rome Film Festival in November.

Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained follows the recently freed slave Django (Jamie Foxx) who teams with the German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to hunt down a trio of lowlifes eventually leading them on a mission to rescue Django’s wife, Broomhilda (Washington), from the clutches of Calvin Candie (DiCaprio), an evil plantation owner.

The film hits theaters on December 25. Click on any of the thumbnails below to browse the gallery.
