I guess studios don’t exactly share plans with one another as we’ve already had trailers for The Lone Ranger, The Guilt Trip and Parker and now Dreamworks throws their hat in the ring with the first trailer for their upcoming animated film The Croods.
A prehistoric comedy adventure following the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime, The Croods follows the titular clan after their cave is destroyed and they’re force3d to travel across a spectacular landscape and ultimately discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures.
The voice cast includes Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman and the film is directed by Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon, Lilo & Stitch) and Kirk DeMicco (Space Chimps).
It doesn’t hit theaters until March 22, 2013 so it’s still a ways off, but for now give the trailer a look and see what you think.
