Walt Disney is on the war path with their upcoming $250 million gamble as the marketing barrage for The Lone Ranger continues today with a teaser trailer for the film which is set to hit theaters on July 3, 2013.
Directed by Gore Verbinski, who appears to be bringing Rango to life with this one, in which Disney tells us “the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.”
Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
Skimming through the trailer to get the screen capture above, it seems this film is more about Depp’s Tonto than anything else, but would you really expect anything less?
