Trailer for ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’

It’s getting to be that time of year. With the release of the trailer for Mama and now Texas Chainsaw 3D, the studios are getting into that horror film kind of mood. Interestingly enough, however, both of these titles are set to hit theaters in January rather than this Halloween, which will probably be owned by Paranormal Activity 4.

As for Chainsaw, it’s a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s classic 1974 film set to hit theaters on January 4, 2013. Here, a young woman travels to Texas to collect an inheritance with a few friends. Little do they know, their visit will result in a run-in with a chainsaw-yielding killer 15 years after the events of the original.

Directed by John Luessenhop (Takers) and featuring a cast of largely unknowns, it looks like we’ll be ringing in the year with Leatherface. Give the trailer a look below and tell me if you think that may be a bad omen?
