What is being called the first image of Leatherface in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw 3D is seen above, but unless horror fans are excited by images of the back of the crazy killer’s head then I’m not sure this is going to exactly do much for you.
The film is set to hit theaters on January 4, 2013 and picks up years after the events of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original with a story centered on Heather (Alexanda Daddario), a young girl who learns she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. Heading out to the property with her friends, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion, but true horror awaits them in the dark cellars of the residence.
Joining Daddario in the John Luessenhop-directed feature are Tania Raymonde, Trey Songz, Scott Eastwood and Dan Yeager playing Leatherface with footage of Gunnar Hansen also expected to be used in archival footage.
