Teaser Trailer for ‘Red Dawn’

This morning I added a couple of first images from Open Road’s Red Dawn starring Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Edwin Hodge, Connor Cruise and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The film has been on lockdown for a long time due to financial woes over at MGM, but just like Cabin in the Woods, 2012 will see it hit screens, this one arriving on November 21, two years after it was originally slated to hit theaters.

While I’m sure a more official trailer will be arriving soon, a teaser trailer aired on Entertainment Tonight recently, and while it’s loaded with the ET “talent” talking over it, you pretty much get the gist of what’s going on.

The film is a remake of the 1984 Cold War flick, this time centering on an American city that awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky — shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.

Good news for Open Road is that two years ago Chris Hemsworth wasn’t Thor. have a look at the teaser below and stay tuned as I’ll post a legit one without all the added jibber jabber once it’s released. And yes, at the start of the trailer, that is Connor Cruise, son to Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
