20th Century Fox has debuted a new, full-length trailer for Taken 2 featuring Liam Neeson returning as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills who last rescued his daughter from a group of Albanian sex traffickers. Well, the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul and Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape. It’s going to be mayhem!
In all honesty, we all recognize this as a cash grab. Perhaps you’re excited to see it, but in all actuality, couldn’t you probably just watch the original again and get just as much excitement?
Taken 2 is directed by second-rate helmer Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) and along with Neeson the flick stars Maggie Grace, Rade Serbedzija, Famke Janssen and Luke Grimes. It will hit theaters on October 5.
