‘The Bourne Legacy’: 5 Clips and 16 New Pictures

Universal has let loose the marketing dogs and sent over five clips (three of them brand new) from The Bourne Legacy along with a gallery of 16 pictures from the upcoming August 10 release that finds Jeremy Renner climbing into the Bourne franchise as Aaron Cross. Like Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne, Cross was a victim of the Treadstone project and the events of this film were triggered as a result of what took place in The Bourne Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum.

The film was written and directed by Tony Gilroy who had a hand in creating the franchise based on the books by Robert Ludlum and word is, if all goes according to plan, we may find Damon and Renner teaming their characters together in a fifth film.

Along with Renner, the film features new faces and returning cast members including Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaac, Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Stacy Keach and Scott Glenn.

As far as the clips and pictures I’m featuring here are concerned, I didn’t look at them too closely as I want to go into this one as fresh as possible considering my original expectations for this attempted continuation of the franchise were quite low. However, as the release date has approached, I’ve found myself more and more interested, hoping they can pull off something of a miracle and make this film feel more necessary than it looks to be on the surface.

You can browse the new pictures by clicking on the thumbnails below and I’ve included one clip on this page featuring Renner and Norton and the other four I added on page two to help speed up the load time of the page.
