Is it the book? Is it Emma Watson? There seems to be a lot of interest in the upcoming teenage dramedy The Perks of Being a Wallflower and as someone that has never read Stephen Chbosky‘s book I have no idea what the appeal is, but the debut of the trailer yesterday certainly seemed to interest a lot of people and a lot of those people had overwhelmingly positive reactions to what they saw.
As someone that has never read the book (and didn’t watch the trailer) all I can tell you is it is the story of a shy, sensitive teenager caught between trying to live his life and escape it. I get the impression Logan Lerman plays said teenager and am going to assume Emma Watson‘s character breaks him out of his shell, which I guess means Ezra Miller‘s character is just another friend?
I don’t know, the fact so many people are interested is enough to get me interested, and with that said, here are three new pictures from the film followed by the trailer for those of you that didn’t see it yesterday.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower hits theaters on September 14.
