Sales Poster for Robert Pattinson’s ‘Mission: Blacklist’

The only thing I’m not a big fan of here is the title and the use of the colon. Unless you are inviting some kind or any kind of confusion with the Mission: Impossible why do this? Otherwise, Mission: Blacklist sounds interesting as we get a first look at a sales poster for the film, which will surely be floating around the Cannes marketplace next week looking for some money.

Based on a true story, Mission: Blacklist is an adaptation of Eric Maddox‘s book “Capturing Saddam: The Hunt for Saddam Hussein–As Told by the Unlikely Interrogator Who Spearheaded the Mission.” Embankment Films, which released the poster, gives us the following synopsis:

Unlike other Interrogators fresh out of training, Eric Maddox (Robert Pattinson) has a brilliant and beautiful mind. He has a unique ability to decipher highly complex patterns from seemingly random events.

His mission is to trap the world’s most wanted man, Saddam Hussein — and he must defy his superiors to uncover his prey. The closer he gets to the truth, the more dangerous the hunt becomes…

The film is set to be directed by Jean-Stephane Sauvaire with a screenplay by Erik Jendressen, Dylan Kussman and Trace Sheehan.

Now we just have to wait to see if anyone picks this thing up.
