Visual-effects specialist Charles Gibson will make his big screen directing debut with the Geoff Rodkey-scripted family comedy The Goblin, says Variety.
The story revolves around a suburban family that moves into its new home only to find a curmudgeonly goblin who doesn’t want them there.
Gibson won visual-effects Oscars for Babe and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. He performed visual effects and second unit directing on the “Pirates” franchise and Terminator Salvation.
