‘Titanic’ in Super 3-D

In cooperation with George Lucas, J.J. Abrams and Michael Bay, James Cameron delivers Titanic in Super 3-D. It’s more monsters, more effects, an updated soundtrack, more stormtroopers, more lens flares and plenty more Baysplosions.

Perhaps what’s most interesting about this, is that Cameron didn’t actually make any changes to Titanic other than converting it to 3-D for this re-release. I just watched his National Geographic special and while he is extraordinarily defensive about the stuff he got wrong in the film (despite asking people to tell him what was wrong) as a result of not knowing what he knows now, he could have changed a few elements to make it seem a little more accurate as he is clearly anal about such things. Yet, he didn’t pull a Lucas and for that I think he deserves a polite golf clap.
